Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display device which does not depend on the quantity of light transmitted through a liquid crystal panel, whose liquid crystal panel is cooled sufficiently. and where an appropriate video is displayed. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with the liquid crystal panel 5 having many liquid crystal shutters arranged lengthwise ant crosswise and a power supply part which supplies power for opening and closing the respective liquid crystal shutters at the end, a light transmissive container 6 which is disposed near the panel 5 and forms gap parts 91 and 92 with at least the back surface of the panel 5, a circulating device 9 for making low-temperature liquid circulate in the gap parts 91 and 92 of the container 6, a light source 1 arranged on the back surface side of the container 6, an air blower means 21 which is provided near the container 6 and blows off gas to the external surface of the container 6, and an output part 14 for outputting emitted light from the light source 1 which passes through the panel 5.
