To provide a liquid crystal display device with which the infiltration of impurities, etc., from sealing parts is suppressed and durability is excellent.

This device includes a liquid crystal panel 100 constituted by sticking a first electrode substrate 200 having an approximately square shape and a second electrode substrate 300 having the approximately square shape via a sealing material so as to have a prescribed spacing and injecting a liquid crystal material 400 into this spacing, then sealing the substrates. In such a case, the external shape ends of the first electrode substrate 200 and the second electrode substrate 300 coincide substantially with each other. The inner sides thereof have first end faces 205-2, 305-2 respectively including chamfered taper parts. Injection holes are formed along these first end faces 205-2, 305-2. These injection holes are sealed by the sealing material 431 over the tapered parts.
