Abstract:
One purpose of the present invention is to provide a sealing agent for liquid crystal display elements, which is capable of suppressing the generation of foreign substances, while exhibiting excellent curability with respect to light having a long wavelength. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide: a vertically conducting material which is obtained using this sealing agent for liquid crystal display elements; and a liquid crystal display element. The present invention is a sealing agent for liquid crystal display elements, which contains a curable resin, a photopolymerization initiator and a maleimide compound, and wherein the photopolymerization initiator has an absorption coefficient of 0.8 × 102 mL/g·cm or more at the wavelength of 430 nm.
