To improve visibility at night and to disuse a power source for driving an EL(electroluminescence) by constituting a back lighting part irradiating an LCD main body of a light accumulator.
The LCD main body 10 receives driving power supply from the driving power source 12 and performs various kinds of display. The back lighting part 14 irradiating the LCD main body 10 is arranged on the back surface of the LCD main body 10. The back lighting part 14 is constituted of the light accumulator, to put it concretely, the light accumulator or a light accumulator coated plate. Owing to the back lighting part 14 constituted of the light accumulator, the display of the LCD main body 10 is visually recognized even in dark circumstances such as at night and the like, and the power source for back lighting required in the conventional EL system is disused.
