To provide a means which improves the adhesive strength of a seal material between a 1st and a 2nd substrate at end parts of the liquid crystal display panel.
The liquid crystal display panel which has liquid crystal 9 sandwiched between the 1st substrate 1 having at least plural row electrodes and plural column electrodes arranged crossing the row electrodes across an insulating film on a transparent insulating substrate and a 2nd substrate 7 having at least a transparent conductive film on a transparent insulating substrate, and also has the terminal part 2 for applying a voltage to the 2nd substrate 7 on the 1st substrate 1 has an uneven structure on the surface of a part to which a seal material 6 for sticking the peripheries of the 1st and 2nd substrates 1 and 7 together at the terminal part 2 is applied. This uneven structure has one hole (slit hole 21) at a terminal part (terminal 2) made of a metallic film and an insulating film (protection film 3) formed thereupon to form a hole penetrating both the terminal part made of the metal film and the insulating film on it.
