Abstract:
To provide a liquid crystal display protection plate capable of suppressing the reduction of visibility when observing the liquid crystal display protection plate on a liquid crystal screen through a polarizing filter.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display protection plate includes a resin plate including a retardation control layer laminated on at least one surface of a base material layer. The retardation control layer having an acid anhydride unit, an imide unit or a lactone ring unit in a main chain includes a transparent thermoplastic resin (A) having a Tg of 135-180°C, a photoelastic coefficient absolute value of 10.0×10-12/Pa or less and an orientation birefringence absolute value of 10.0×10-4-100.0×10-4; the base material layer includes a transparent thermoplastic resin (B) having a photoelastic coefficient absolute value of 10.0×10-12/Pa or less and an orientation birefringence absolute value of less than 10.0×10-4; the Tg of the retardation control layer is higher than that of the base material layer; the thickness of the base material layer is larger than the total thickness of the retardation control layer; and the Re value of the resin plate is 50-330 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
