To provide a liquid crystal display capable of operating a liquid crystal display panel with a small power consumption.
In a liquid crystal display, an output multiplexer 27 in a source driver outputs a voltage which is equal to a voltage that a D-A converter outputted to each source line, from an output part 45 to the source line when a latch part reads a new data of one row. In addition, an exclusive OR of MSB between an image data in the row and an image data in a row just before the row, each corresponding to the source line, is calculated in advance. Each of a first switch 41 and a second switch 42 disposed at end of the output part 45 connects a corresponding source line to a first capacitor 31 or a second capacitor 32, respectively, when a signal directing the latch part to acquire data, a polarity control signal, and the resultant exclusive OR of a column corresponding to the switch itself satisfy predetermined conditions.
