Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which has two field generating electrodes formed on one substrate and can prevent an afterimage.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display includes: a first substrate, a first electrode and a second electrode that are disposed on the first substrate to overlap each other with an insulating layer interposed therebetween; a first alignment layer disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a second alignment layer disposed on the second substrate. A first resistivity value of the first alignment layer is smaller than a second resistivity value of the second alignment layer. A first thickness of the first alignment layer is larger than a second thickness of the second alignment layer.
