PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of disclination in a liquid crystal lens.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal lens 1 comprises: a first electrode 2; a second electrode 4 that is arranged opposite to the first electrode 2; and a liquid crystal layer 6 that is arranged between the first electrode 2 and second electrode 4, and has a predetermined effective diameter ED. The first electrode 2 includes: a first electrode part 11 that includes a circular opening 14; a second electrode part 12 that is arranged inside the opening 14; and a third electrode part 13 that is arranged on the outside of the effective diameter ED.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
