Abstract:
To provide a liquid crystal mixture based on the ECB effect, IPS effect or FFS effect, having no disadvantage or only having a disadvantage in a low degree, and used particularly for monitor and TV applications.
There is provided a liquid crystal medium containing at least one compound represented by formula I wherein R1, R1*, Z1, L1 and L2 are specific formulae, particularly for use in an active matrix display, based on VA, PSA-, PS-VA, PALC, FFS, PS-FFS, PS-IPS or IPS effect.
