To provide a liquid crystal display panel which has a stable orientation state wherein liquid crystal molecules are all oriented in the same direction as a hybrid-orientation type liquid crystal panel.
On a 1st transpaparent substrate 1, a 1st electrode 2 and a 1st orientation film 3 which orients liquid crystal molecules almost in parallel are formed in order. On a 2nd transparent substrate 5, a 1st electrode 4 and a 2nd orientation film 6 which orients the liquid crystal molecules nearly vertically are formed in order. The 1st transparent substrate 1 and 2nd transparent substrate 5 are set having their orientation films opposite each other. Liquid crystal molecules 11 in a hybrid-orientation state are interposed between the 1st transparent substrate 1 and 2nd transparent substrate 5. In a liquid crystal cell, the tilt directions of all the liquid crystal molecules 11 in the hybrid orientation state are controlled to a single direction.
