To display the video signals received by a digital TV decoder on a liquid crystal panel (LCD panel) in addition to the analog TV video signals by providing a resolution converter, etc., to convert the RGB signals obtained from a signal form converter into the resolution that is accordant with the liquid crystal panel.
The digital video signals which are inputted to an external input terminal 104 are sent to a scan converter 4 via a PC digital interface 6, and these video signals are sent to an LCD panel 5 after undergoing the control of picture quality, the conversion of resolution, etc., via the converter 4. The analog video signals which are inputted to an external terminal 105 are converted into the digital video signals (R, G, B) by an A/D converter 8 and sent to the converter 4 via the interface 6, to undergo the control of picture quality, the conversion of resolution, etc., there and then sent to the panel 5.
