To provide a liquid detergent composition for clothing which is excellent in cleaning power and deodorization for clothing, has sterilization effect and antibacterial deodorization effect and is excellent in performance for preventing from recontamination and color migration.

The liquid detergent composition for clothing contains: 1 to 30 mass% of an alkali agent (A); 10 to 30 mass% of a nonion surface active agent (B); 0.5 to 10 mass% of a specified cation surface active agent (C); and 0.1 to 10 mass% of a water-soluble high-molecular polymer (D) which has a carboxy group and of which the weight-average molecular weight is 1,000 to 100,000, wherein the pH of raw liquid of the liquid detergent composition is 11 to 14 at 25C and the pH of 0.1 mass% diluted aqueous solution thereof is 8.5 to 12 at 25C.
