Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition of compact type that shows mild skin stimulation with high mildness, excellent detergency and cold storage stability by formulating specific amounts of a specific noionic surfactant and a specific hydrotropic agent. SOLUTION: This liquid detergent composition contains 30-50 wt.% of a nonionic surfactant composition that comprises (A) 8-25 wt.% of higher fatty acid mono- and/or diethanolamide and (B) 8-25 wt.% of an alcohol ethoxylate where the ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is 1/2-2/1, and contains (C) a compound selected from lower alcohol, polyalkylene glycol and water-soluble polyol, (D) an aromatic sulfonic acid or its salts where the weight ratio of the component C to the component D is 20/1-1/5 and the total amount of the components C and D is 5-30 wt.%. In a preferred embodiment more than 70% of the component A is lauric acid diethanolamine.
