PURPOSE: To decrease the evaporation of the hydrocarbon in the developer from a copying machine and to eliminate the need for application of oil on a fixing roll by using a specific carrier liquid mixture and toner particles compounded with resin components having required functional groups.
CONSTITUTION: This developer is formed by dispersing the toner particles consisting of coloring agents and the resin into the carrier liquid consisting of the liquid mixture composed of a fluorine solvent and an aliphat. hydrocarbon solvent and/or silicone solvent and having a high resistance and low dielectric constant. The compsn. consisting of the resin (A) contg. a methylol group and the resin (B) contg. the functional group reacting with the methylol group or the modified resin by the reaction of the components A, B are compounded as the above-mentioned resin. A melamine formaldehyde resin, etc., are usable as the component A and a styrene/acrylic resin, etc., are usable as the component B, respectively.
