To provide an environment-friendly liquid developing agent excellent in fixing property of the toner particles to a recording medium, and also to provide an image forming device using this liquid developing agent.
The liquid developing agent has toner particles dispersed in an insulation liquid. The insulation liquid contains unsaturated fatty acid monoester containing an alcohol component with a carbon number of 1-8. The amount of the unsaturated fatty acid monoester in the insulation liquid is 10-80 wt.%, the volume resistivity of the insulation liquid is 1012 cm or larger, and the average molecular weight Mw of the resin material is 5,000-15,000. The unsaturated fatty acid monoester in the insulation liquid desirably contains unsaturated fatty acid with a carbon number of 4-18 as the fatty acid components.
