Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head in which a discharge opening plate is hard to be released from a substrate and foreign substance is hard to stick to the discharge opening plate.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head includes a nozzle part 30 which contains a substrate 1 where an energy generation element 2 for generating energy for discharging liquid is arranged on one surface and a discharge opening plate 3 being jointed on one surface, with the discharge opening plate 3 equipped with a discharge opening 31 that faces the energy generation element 2, a groove 4 which is such a groove 4 as encloses the nozzle part 30, and contains a first groove part 4a which, adjoining a joint surface to one surface, includes a pair of side surfaces 41 in which a plurality of protruding and recessed parts alternately continue to form saw teeth, and a second groove part 4b which, being opened near the discharge opening 31, includes an opening part 43 in which an opening edge part 42 is formed to be straight, and a wall member 5 formed along the groove 4 in the opening part.
