Abstract:

To provide a liquid discharge method, capable of improving discharge stability at the discharge of biological matter, even at repeated use, and to provide a microarray manufacturing method that uses it.

In the method for discharging liquids containing biological matter, a polymer, made of an unsaturated compound unit containing a phosphorylcholine group as a discharge stabilizer or a copolymer containing this, is added to a liquid containing biological matter, and the liquid containing the biological matter is discharged by an ink-jet method. It is preferable that the copolymer contain an unsaturated compound unit (a1) that contains a phosphorylcholine group and a (meta) acrylic ester unit (a2) as a constituting unit.
