Abstract:
To provide a liquid discharge unit which can receive a liquid discharged from a discharge port without moving a liquid receiving surface relative to a discharge port and prevents the liquid received by the liquid receiving surface from overflowing from a liquid recovery part, and to provide a liquid discharge device.SOLUTION: A carriage 1 includes: nozzles 302 which discharge an ink to a drawn object 100; an ink receiving surface 24 which receives the ink discharged from the nozzles 302; a cleaning fluid recovery part 6 which retains the ink received by the ink receiving surface; and a wiper unit 4 which retains the ink receiving surface 24 and the cleaning fluid recovery member 6 and can move between a position where the ink receiving surface 24 faces the nozzles 302 and a position where the ink receiving surface 24 does not face the nozzles 302 without changing inclination of the cleaning fluid recovery member 6 relative to a horizontal surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
