To provide a liquid droplet delivering apparatus equipped with a longitudinal liquid droplet delivering head in which a plurality of delivering units are arranged in accordance with the width of a paper, and capable of easily and accurately adjusting the angle of fitting of the liquid droplet delivering head by detecting optically the amount of deviation on every delivering unit.
On a step 200, a line pattern is printed. On a step 202, an image recorded is read by an optical sensor, and the image data are stored. From the image data, the position of each line is specified. On a step 204, based on the position of the specified line, the amount of the deviation to the paper is calculated on every head unit. On a step 206, an angle (adjusting angle) ave by which a recording head is rotated to the paper is calculated. On a step 208, an adjusting motor is driven to adjust the angle of fitting of the recording head so that the recording head is rotated by the angle ave to the paper.
