A distance between the recording head 52 and a recording medium is changed, and on every different distance changed, liquid droplets are delivered toward the recording medium from the recording head 52 equipped with a plurality of delivery openings. On every different distance changed, hitting positions on which the liquid droplets delivered from the recording head 52 hit the recording medium are respectively detected. On respective delivery openings of the recording head 52, the delivery directions of the liquid droplets delivered from respective delivery openings are respectively calculated from the differences respectively detected on every different distance, from the differences of the lengths of different distances.
