This liquid droplet jet device comprises a liquid droplet jet head 1, a temperature detection section 50 for measuring the ambient temperature (T0) at a prescribed reference time (t0) and the ambient temperature (Tx) at a time of recording an image (tx), a time period detection section 61 for measuring the prescribed reference time (t0) and the time of recording (tx), a Cp0 calculation section 621 for calculating to output an electrostatic capacitance (Cp0) at the reference time of a piezoelectric element 8, a ΔCp calculation section 622, a Cpx calculation section 623 for calculating (estimating) to output the electrostatic capacitance (Cpx) in the element temperature (Kx) at the time of recording (tx), and a control unit 60 having built therein a driving section 64 for outputting a drive voltage (Vx) to the piezoelectric element 8 according to the Cpx.
