To provide a liquid ejection head capable of obtaining large liquid ejection performance.
The liquid ejection head ejects liquid in a pressure chamber 3 from an ejection port 7 communicated with the pressure chamber 3 by deforming a wall of the pressure chamber 3 provided in a piezoelectric block 5. The liquid ejection head includes: a pressure chamber 3; cavities 4, 9 adjacent to the pressure chamber 3 to be partitioned by the wall composed of a piezoelectric material; an electrode 12 provided on the side of the pressure chamber 3 of the wall; and electrodes 13, 14 provided on the side of the cavities 4, 9 of the wall. When voltage is applied between the electrode 12 and the electrodes 13, 14, a width of at least part of the electrode 12 is narrower than one of the pressure chamber 3 so that a field direction and a direction of polarization are radial from the center axis of the pressure chamber 3 toward outside.
