Abstract:
To provide a liquid discharge device for discharging ink cured by irradiated with active energy rays from a liquid discharge head which lowers ink discharge property when ink is not discharged for a while.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device has first and second ink cured by irradiated with active energy rays, a liquid discharge head for discharging liquid, and supply control means for controlling supply of the liquid to the liquid discharge head, wherein colors of the first and second ink are set to be the same, curability of the first ink is lower than curability of the second ink, the liquid discharge head at the time of printing start is filled with the first ink, the liquid discharge head at the time of printing end is filled with first ink, and the supply control means starts supply of the second ink to the liquid discharge head after printing start, and starts supply of the first ink to the liquid discharge head after start of the supply of the second ink and before printing end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
