Abstract:
To reduce density unevenness generated in a boundary between recording elements.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head includes a plurality of recording elements 15 which are provided for each discharge port and discharge liquid from the discharge ports. The plurality of recording elements 15 are equally divided into a first recording element array 21 and a second recording element array 22 and driving current is supplied for each recording element array. The first recording element array 21 is divided into a plurality of groups 16a-0 to 16a-2 while the second recording element array 22 is divided into a plurality of groups 16b-0 to 16b-2. A driving section 31 drives the groups 16a-0 to 16a-2 in parallel and drives the recording elements in the same group in a prescribed order. A driving section 32 drives the groups 16b-0 to 16b-2 in parallel and drives the recording elements in the same group in a prescribed order. The group driven first and the group driven last are not adjacent to each other in a boundary between the first recording element array 21 and the second recording element array 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
