To prevent variations in the sensitivity of the liquid surface detection mechanism of a liquid feed nozzle.
In the liquid feed system, the control circuit 16 of a meter 12 counts the number of times that liquid was additionally fed, which number is obtained by the liquid surface detection mechanism of a liquid feed nozzle 39 until a nozzle switch 34 is turned off after the liquid feed is finished. The control circuit 16 stores this counted number of times into a memory 44. Upon the finish of the liquid feed by the liquid feed nozzle 30, the control circuit 16 transfers the result of this count to a management terminal device 14. In the management terminal device 14, the number of times that the liquid was additionally fed, which has been counted by the control circuit 16 of the meter 12, is compared with the reference number of times for feed stop, stored in a storage device 19. Thus, an abnormal detection process to detect whether an abnormal state is present or not is performed. When an abnormal state of the liquid surface detection mechanism is detected based on the number of times that the liquid was additionally fed, the management terminal device 14 outputs an electronic mail informing a maintenance terminal device 17 in a maintenance company 13 of the abnormal state.
