PURPOSE: To provide a liquid feeding device which prevents liquid sag by cavitation due to the characteristic of a liquid or the thinness of pipelines from generating, and feed a liquid from a nozzle while keeping the initial discharge quantity at the time of re-discharge stable.
CONSTITUTION: A discharge control valve 4 is provided between a nozzle 2 which discharges a liquid, and a liquid feeding source 3. Then, a by-pass pipe 11 which goes vertically downward is connected between the discharge control valve 4 and the nozzle 2, and a by-pass valve 12 is connected to the by-pass pipe 11. When the discharge control valve 4 is closed to stop the discharge of a liquid, if the by-pass valve 12 is opened for a desired period of time, which is optionally set while adjusting the timing to the motion, the liquid in the nozzle 2 is dragged in by the weight of the liquid in the by-pass pipe 11, and the liquid is prevented from sagging. The liquid in the nozzle 2 stops right before the tip of the nozzle. Since the action is based on the weight of the liquid, there is no cavitation, and an appropriate drag-in speed can be obtained. Also, at the time to resume the discharge, there is no abnormality in the initial discharge quantity due to air bubbles of cavitation or discharge of a liquid reservoir.
