Title:
LIQUID-FUEL COMBUSTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS55165418
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the concentration of CO in a combustion exhaust gas by a method wherein disc-shaped and annular baffles are arranged between each pair of adjacent stages of air hole rows and heater to red hot.

CONSTITUTION: After a combustion chamber 6 is purged by means of a blower 4, an ignition heater 13 is heated to red hot, and a fuel feed pump is operated to feed a fuel to a dropping ring 11 and an evaporation surface 12, whereby a flame is first formed near the ring 11. As the atmospheric temperature rises and the evaporated amount of fuel increases, air fed on the upstream side becomes insufficient for combustion, so that the flame stretches to downstream and develops evenly throughout the inside of the combustion chamber 6. In this case, since an annular ring 15 is arranged at a downstream position close to each of air holes 5, the rings 15 together with disc-shaped baffles 14 are heated to red hot, resulting that CO is scarcely discharged.
