Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict occurrence of accidental fire at an engine or an excessive retarded state of combustion phase at a binary fuel Diesel engine using gas as main fuel and using liquid fuel such as light oil or the like as ignition agent by increasing temperature of liquid fuel under a circumstance in which ignitability of liquid fuel is lowered.SOLUTION: This invention comprises means for detecting poor ignition and means for heating fuel. The means for detecting poor ignition detects poor ignitability such as accidental fire at an engine 10 or retarded state of combustion phase. In addition, fuel heating means performs, by a heating heat exchanger 61, a controlling operation for increasing temperature of diesel oil of liquid fuel supplied to the engine 10 upon detection of poor ignition by the poor ignition detecting means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
