Abstract:
To provide a liquid hydrogen vaporization device in which thermal stress applied to a heat transfer tube of an open rack type heat exchanger is reduced and furthermore icing on the heat transfer tube is suppressed.SOLUTION: A liquid hydrogen vaporization device 100 generates normal-temperature hydrogen in a gaseous or supercritical state from liquid hydrogen. The liquid hydrogen vaporization device 100 comprises: an auxiliary heat exchanger 110 which exchanges heat with heating liquid having a lower solidification point than that of sea water or industrial water to raise the temperature of the liquid hydrogen; and an open rack type main heat exchanger 150 which has a heat transfer tube 166 flowing hydrogen and a trough 171 causing the sea water or industrial water to flow down to an outer surface of the heat transfer tube 166. The main heat exchanger 150 exchanges heat of the hydrogen flowing out from the auxiliary heat exchanger 110 with the sea water or industrial water to raise the temperature of the hydrogen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
