PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid jet recording apparatus having a recording head easy in paper feed and the scanning of the recording head, by providing a common liquid chamber along a direction crossing the direction along which liquid emitting orifices are arranged.
CONSTITUTION: A common liquid chamber 204 is provided in the direction at right angles to the arrangement direction of orifices 202 and the protruded part of a recording head 201 is provided to the side of the orifices 202. A liquid supplied to each orifice 202 is unilaterally supplied by a main flowline 206. A recording head having the above mentioned configuration is arranged as shown by a typical arrangement drawing to perform recording while scanning a recording head 301 and a material 302 to be recorded in the arrow direction. This paper feed mechanism can avoid the contact of the recording head 301 and the material 302 to be recorded and, because a complicated paper feed mechanism is not required, the scanning speed of the recording head can be also increased.
