Abstract:
To surely detect a liquid boundary surface in a mixture of liquids different in specific gravity for making the control of the boundary surface possible.
An ultrasonic sensor 19 is arranged on the outside wall of a tank 4 adjusted to the boundary high limit position so that the liquid boundary surface in the tank 4 filled with liquids of different specific gravity does not exceed a predetermined position. When the liquid boundary surface position inside the tank reaches the sensor position, the ultrasonic sensor 19 detects this event according to a change of reflection wave so that proper measure can be taken.
