Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect a liquid level stably for a long time by detecting the liquid level by the detected current of a detecting coil group when a exciting current is sequentially supplied to an exciting coil group. CONSTITUTION:Printed boards PC1 and PC2 which are coil holding members are arranged in a concentric pattern, and a specified gap G is formed. Said boards PC1 and PC2 are arranged in a fuel tank so that the longitudinal direction agrees with the changing direction of a liquid level to be detected. An exciting coil group 1 is formed on the board PC1 by printing. A detecting coil group 2 is formed on the board PC2 by printing. When an apparatus is set in a liquid whose level is to be detected, a float 3 is moved up and down in response to the liquid level and positioned between a pair of the specified facing coils of the boards PC1 and PC2. When the coil group 1 is excited, detected currents are outputted simultaneously from terminals I1-Im of the coil group 2 having the detecting coils which are coupled with the exciting coils of the excited coil group 1. Thus the liquid level can be detected.
