Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the liquid level detecting valve of a fuel tank, which can be assuredly opened/closed without causing any wrong operation by assuredly detecting the liquid level of fuel in the fuel tank.
CONSTITUTION: In a valve which is formed to be closed in such a way that a float body 50 whose upper end part is equipped with a valve head 60 whose upper end surface is formed in a spherical surface is stored in an approximately cylindrical main body 3, and when the float body 50 is lifted together with the increment of a liquid level so that the upper end surface of the valve head 60 is brought in contact with a valve seat 14 arranged on the inner surface of the upper wall of the main body 3, the valve seat 14 is formed of a ring elastic body so that a clearance between the valve head 60 and the valve seat 14 is prevented from being rapidly decreased. The upper end surface of the valve head 60 is formed in a spherical surface centering around the center point of the buoyancy of the float body 50 so that the valve can be prevented from being insufficiently closed by the inclination of the float body 50.
