To provide a liquid level height detection device capable of suppressing wrong detection of the liquid level to be lower than an allowable minimum height resulting from inclination of a container.
This liquid level height detection device 100 is equipped with a float 130 moving up and down corresponding to the height of the liquid level in the container 1; a hollow columnar guide 110 arranged on a position deflected from the center of the container 1, for regulating movement of the float 130 in other directions than the vertical direction; and a sensor 140 for detecting that the liquid level is lower than the allowable minimum height based on the position of the float 130 in the guide 110. The guide 110 is equipped with a bottom part 114 for preventing liquid outflow from the lower end, and an opening part for allowing liquid inflow/outflow on the side face on the deflected direction side.
