Title:
LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3911137
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level sensor contributing to space-saving, cost reduction and improvement in reliability by eliminating use of a float arm and a reed switch.
SOLUTION: In the liquid level sensor, both magnets Mg1 and Mg2 contained in a float 101 move vertically in response to the variations in liquid level. Since the distance between these magnets Mg1 and Mg2, and a face 105a-1 opposite a magnetism collector (core) 105 varies in response to the vertical movement of these magnets Mg1 and Mg2, the magnetic field generated by these magnets Mg1 and Mg2 to be collected by the magnetism collector (core) 105 also varies. A magnetic sensing element 106 detects the variation in the magnetic field as a variation in the liquid level.
