To obtain a liquid paste composition having excellent adsorbability to clothes, especially cotton clothes, by making the composition include a paste base agent obtained by copolymerizing a lower fatty acid vinyl ester with an unsaturated carboxylic acid and a specific compound.

This composition comprises (A) a paste base agent obtained by copolymerizing a lower fatty acid vinyl ester such as vinyl acetate with an unsaturated carboxylic acid such as (meth)acrylic acid or crotonic acid as monomer units, and (B) a compound of the formula (R1-R3 are each a 1-6C alkyl; R4 is 1-6C halogenated alkyl; X- is an anion), preferably 2-hydroxy-3- methacyloxypropyltrimethyl ammonium salt.
