To provide a vibration control device of a cylindrical type capable of achieving vibration control performance in a wide frequency range.
In this liquid sealed vibration control of a cylindrical type, an inner cylinder member 10 and an outer cylinder member 12 are coupled to each other through a vibration control base member 14 comprising rubber material, and a main liquid chamber 30 of which chamber wall is partly formed of the vibration control base member 14 and a subsidiary liquid chamber 32 of which chamber wall is partly formed of a diaphragm 20 are provided. A partition part 28 to part the main liquid chamber 30 and the subsidiary liquid chamber 32 are composed of a piston-like member 40 and a cylinder-like member 42 that are displaceable to vary the volume of both liquid chambers in accordance with elastic deformation of the vibration control base member 14 when vibration is added. Between both members 40 and 42, an MR passage 46 to seal and hold MR fluid 44 of which viscosity is varied in accordance with tension of a magnetic field is formed to have a crank-shaped cross section, and an electromagnet 50 capable of controlling the tension of the magnetic field is also provided.
