To provide a liquid softener composition that is capable of uniformly dispersing a perfume without deteriorating the dispersion system of a base softener and is capable of imparting a fresh aroma to clothing.
A component (A) is one or more compounds selected from: an esterification reaction product with alkanolamine and fatty acid and/or fatty acid methyl ester; a neutralized product with the esterification reaction product; and a reaction product obtained by further quaternizing the esterification reaction product, and the fatty acid and/or fatty acid methyl ester has an iodine value of 5-150. A component (B) is a plurality of perfume components respectively including one or more perfume components selected from the following B-1, B-2 and B-3, respectively. The liquid softener composition contains 3-50 mass% of the component (A) and 0.2 mass% (2000 ppm) or more of the component (B) and can be prepared by a production method including specific processes (1)-(4).
