Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste liquid storage container for suction instruments that can dispose of waste liquid sanitarily by a simple configuration at low cost.SOLUTION: A storage container is used for a medical waste liquid suction system including: a patient's side tube; a valve member configured so that the patient's side tube is releasably mounted; a storage container guided of a waste liquid from a patient via the patient's side tube and the valve member; a rigid container for hermetically storing the storage container; and a pump for setting the rigid container in a negative pressure. The storage container has a filter provided substantially in parallel to the liquid level of a guided waste liquid on the upper part of the valve member in the inside of the storage container, and two or more vent holes provided further upside of the filter. The storage container is configured such that the filter may lose air permeability by the accumulated moisture of the waste liquid by the inflow of the waste liquid into the storage container, move upward in the storage container and close the two or more vent holes, and thereby the ventilation from the storage container to the rigid container may be shut off to hermetically hold the storage container.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3(a)
