PURPOSE: To obtain a liq. two-component coating compsn. which is room-temp.- curable and gives a coating film excellent in surface properties and capable of being subjected to blank polishing or water polishing even after a short drying time by compounding a specific resin, a specific curing agent, and a specific aminourethane.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. comprises at least one resin having amino-reactive groups (e.g. an epoxy resin); at least one polyamine curing agent; and at least one aminourethane which contains one or more free prim. amino groups and is prepd. by reacting (i) an oligemric or polymeric compd. contg. at least one, pref. two or more terminal 2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane groups (cyclic carbonate groups) (e.g. a reaction product of bisphenol A glycidyl ether with CO2) with (ii) an amine contg. at least one prim., pref. two or more prim., and if desired also sec. and tert. amino groups (e.g. diethylenetriamine) in a specified equivalent ratio. If necessary, a pigment, a filler, an org. solvent, water, or the like, are incorporated into the compsn.
