Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of detecting malfunction of a lithium ion battery incorporated into a housing.SOLUTION: A periphery of a lithium ion battery (10) according to the invention is sealed by a sealing member (3). The lithium ion battery includes a gas sensor (1) for detecting a gas existing at the inner side of the sealing member (3). The gas sensor (1) is capable of detecting a gas of at least any of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and methane.
