Abstract:

To provide a means of preventing damage at an edge part of an electrode by alleviating stress at an interface of a cathode-opposite part and a non-opposite part of an anode accompanying expansion and contraction of an active material at charging and discharging, in a lithium ion secondary battery with an anode having a cathode-non-opposite part.

The lithium ion secondary battery is provided with: a cathode; an anode equipped with a collector, and an anode active material layer formed on the surface of the collector and containing an anode active material doped with lithium ion; and an electrolyte layer intercalated between the cathode and the anode. The anode active material layer is provided with a cathode-opposite part and a cathode-non-opposite part, and, in the state of charging (SOC) of 0%, a lithium-ion doping rate of the cathode-non-opposite part is to be larger than that of the cathode-opposite part.
