Abstract:
To provide a lithium secondary battery excelling in safety and conductivity and having a shutdown function.
This lithium ion secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The separator is composed of at least three layers comprising layers (layers A) each formed by binding organic solid particles each having a melting point by a binding agent and layers (layers B) each formed by binding inorganic solid particles with a binding agent and is so structured that the layers A and the layers B are alternately stacked.
