Abstract:

To provide a method for controlling charge of a lithium secondary battery reducing natural deterioration of the battery and maximizing the discharge integrated quantity of the battery.

The method for controlling charge of the lithium secondary battery includes a measuring step (step S8) measuring the voltage drop quantity after prescribed time is elapsed to voltage in completion of constant current-constant voltage charge cycles for charging the lithium secondary battery, a determination step (step S9) determining whether the voltage drop quantity is a threshold value or more or not, and a setting step (steps S10, 11) setting a target value of full charge voltage in charging of the lithium secondary battery to be lower than the actual state one when the voltage drop quantity becomes higher than the threshold value (step S9: YES).
