Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having superior cycle characteristics even in high load charging and discharging.
SOLUTION: In this lithium secondary battery, having polymer gel electrolyte containing acrylic polymer, lithium salt, and solvent, the amount of sodium contained in the polymer gel electrolyte is not more than 0.01 mole % of hydrogen bonded to carbon of an α position of carbonyl in the polymer. The polymer gel electrolyte may be contained in an electrolyte layer between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, or may form an electrode together with active material. It is preferable that the electrolyte layer have a porous spacer, and the polymer gel electrolyte preferably is at least in an inside of the spacer, particularly to be present both in the inside and on the surface of the spacer.
