Abstract:
To provide a lithium secondary battery having high capacity and high rate at the same time.
This lithium secondary battery has a structure wherein a positive electrode having a layer containing an active material in a fine particle state capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions is formed on a collector. The shape anisotropy ratio of fine particles of the active material is not more than 2.5. The ratio occupied by the ion moving phase in the positive electrode is preferably not more than 30 vol.%, and the positive electrode thickness is preferably not less than 80 μm.
