To provide a lithographic printing dampening water composition which contains small riskiness or toxicity of a conventional dampening water containing an isopropyl alcohol and has excellent liquid stability adapted to regulations of the Fire Service Law and the Industrial Safety Health Law, and to provide the excellent lithographic printing dampening water composition which can facilitate the adjustment of a supply quantity with small bubbling to conduct a printing work, which can easily obtain a printed matter of a high quality without a problem such as a plate removal, even in a printing plate having a relatively weak printing element part of the plate surface like a CTP plate, and which not only prevents a transfer fault of a stain or an ink of a printed matter but also does not bring about a problem such as a plate removal or the like.
The lithographic printing dampening water composition contains a compound obtained by adding an ethylene oxide to trivalent or more polyvalent alcohol, but does not contain the additive of the propylene oxide of the alcohol.
