Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aluminum plate for a lithographic printing plate which has a smooth and lustrous surface roughened electrochemically and anodized and therefore enables attainment of an enhanced image contrast when a lithographic printing image is formed on the surface, and a manufacture thereof.
SOLUTION: An aluminum plate for lithographic printing which has a structure of a surface so prepared as to have threads and roots being uniform substantially and to contain parameters Ra, Rz, Rt and Rp of surface roughness, Ra being about 0.10-0.50μm, Rz about 0.00-5.00μm, Rt about 0.00-6.00μm and Rp about 0.00-4.00μm. It is preferable that a tristimulus coordinate value L of this surface is about 35.00-75.00, (a) thereof about -4.00-+4.00 and (b) about -4.00-+4.00.
