To provide a body composition concentration measuring instrument capable of highly accurately measuring bioinformation.
This body composition concentration measuring instrument is provided with an infrared detector which detects an infrared light from the tympanic membrane in an ear hole, and a vascular engorgement means which overswells the blood vessel in the tympanic membrane to increase the blood volume, and calculates the body composition concentration from an output from the infrared detector with the blood vessel overswelled by the vascular engorgement means. Alternatively, this highly accurate body composition concentration measuring instrument has an infrared light source for illuminating the infrared light to the tympanic membrane in the ear hole and a beam splitter, and detects an infrared reflection light from the tympanic membrane with the blood vessel overswelled in the same way.
